Unlike other companies that may hide their return policy in fine print on the bottom of some page, we have made a separate tab on our header so you can see everything upfront and clearly.

All of our Indie Press books are delivered to us new from the publisher. This does not mean you are guaranteed a 10.0 book. This means it would be just like getting a new book from your local comic book shop. Sometimes little flaws happen in production or shipping. If a book is severely damaged we will return it to the publisher, so please don’t feel like we are going to be sending you out crappy books ;-)

A majority (not all) of our merchandise (non-books) is new. We have acquired these items in many ways, from distributors, stores, cons, internet, and sometimes even garage sales! These items should always be in good, great, to near perfect condition.

You may have noticed, we do not have grades on our books. A majority (not all) of our books (comics, series/sets, manga, TPB, soft/hard cover) are older therefore (technically) used. We have seen too many arguments and have been doing this long enough to know, everyone has different opinions when it comes to what is a 7.0, 8.5, 9.2, etc. We price our books accordingly to what we deem is the current condition. This means if you see a $20.00 book on our site for $12.50, know it is not a perfect gem 10.0 book :-)

Like grading, believe it or not, comic book “age” is very subjective and not consistent. We gathered dates/titles (to form a consensus) from several comic book companies such as Overstreet, Sitcomics, CBR, and Comic Book Historians. Most companies can agree on the titles, but not the dates of “ages” before 1980. After 1980, everybody has their own terms and dates of ageing. Therefore, here at Paddy’s Comics, we came up with our own dates/titles ;-)

Platinum: Pre 1938

Golden: 1938 - 1947

Atomic: 1948 - 1955

Silver: 1956 - 1969

Bronze: 1970 - 1985

Copper/Iron/Dark: 1986 - 1991

Extreme: 1992 - 2000

Mainstream: 2001 - 2012

Digital: 2013 - Present

Our shipping is based off of the contiguous United States, therefore, if you require shipping for outside of the contiguous 48 states, please contact us so we may quote you a price.
